dainty_baby asked:

How would you characterize your parents’ or someone else’s parents that you know well enough, parenting style?

How did the parenting style you experienced affect your feelings and behavior?

How will your own parenting style be similar to that of your parents?

How will it be different?

My parent’s parenting style: guilt and beatings

How did their parenting style affect my feelings and behavior: I did not display feelings since it wasn’t safe to (other than anger) and hid who I was from my parents, since I would be guilt-tripped or beaten.

Will my parently style be similiar to my parents? No, I made sure I didn’t have children so there was absolutely no chance that I would ever treat my children with the sadism I experienced.

How will it be different: Since I didn’t have kids, I made sure there’s a couple less beaten, abused, and totally messed up children/adults in the world.
