Natural Organic Baby Skin Care

A lot of parents are now beginning to realize the importance of providing their children with healthy, well-balanced diets. But as well as ensuring that they are eating the right kinds of foods they also know that caring for their child’s skin properly is important as well. This is why so many parents now prefer to use natural organic baby skin care products instead of the cheaper commercial ones.

A child’s skin is extremely sensitive and certainly, those who suffer from skin conditions such as eczema may find many commercial products can exacerbate their condition. But as well as causing more problems, these commercial products contain chemicals, additives and irritants, which can cause a child’s skin to dry out.

But as well as being able to purchase over the counter naturally organic skin care products for children and babies, a parent if they wish can make their own. It really is easy for a person to make their own products all one needs to do is actually mix the natural and organic ingredients suggested together.

But be warned there are some products, which before they can be used will need to be cooked, but one does not need any specific culinary skills to do this. Once these products have been made, not only can they be used by being applied directly on to the baby’s skin but also some a child can eat as well.

Most parents prefer to make their own skin care products as well because it can prove to be more cost effective. Plus once the product has been prepared as long as it is kept in a sealed container then it can be used for several months to come. Next, we take a look at some of the kinds of baby skin care products one can make at home using only natural organic ingredients.

If you would like to use a talcum powder on your baby to help prevent nappy rash then mix together a cup of arrowroot powder, a tablespoon of ground chamomile (dried) and a tablespoon of lavender (dried). The properties contained within this powder not only help to keep your child’s bum dry but also prevent bacteria from thriving on the child’s skin as well.

Although there are plenty of baby shampoos available, there are some that contain ingredients that can be harmful to your baby’s system. If you really want to care for your baby’s hair and scalp then prepare your own shampoos instead. To make a rosemary one you will need a bunch of fresh rosemary, 4.5 fluid ounces of unscented baby shampoo, pint of distilled water and four drops of Rosemary essential oil.
