Beautify Your Kitchen Space
Posted by Isaac Raines on March 7, 2010A good cook deserves a well laid out and organized kitchen. If you spend a lot of time making delicious meals for your families you at least deserve the best that you can have. Here’s a few handy hints to help you achieve this.
We all have counter space, they are essential in any kitchen, there just never seems to be enough when we are cooking for a lot of people or are having a baking session. The best thing you can do if you have limited counter space is to keep it clean and clutter free.
That energy saving appliance may seem like a great help, but if it takes up loads of your counter it will just be in the way. Buy the ones that fit under the counters if you can.
Your drawer should always be properly organized and tidy do that you can just put your hand on whatever you need. Keep flatware and knives separate to avoid any possible injury.
Every serious cook should invest in good knives, and as these usually come with their own block or stand; they take up minimal room but keep them handy.
Choose your pans carefully, that half price set won’t be such a bargain when you find that things cook really slowly in them and they are a nightmare to clean afterwards.
Also make sure that you have enough pans to cook with, as there’s nothing worse than not having enough and end up doing something in the microwave oven.
Any gadget that cuts down on preparation time is ok by me. I am a professional cook and know how laborious food prepping can be. You want to get the actual cooking part as soon as possible.
