Spend Quality Time Together Without Spending A Fortune

You don’t have to spend a fortune on a night out. The fact is, that cheaper is often a lot more fun. Spending a lot of money usually means that you will be doing the same thing again and again; the obligatory meal in the good restaurant and then maybe take in a show.

Get yourself online and find out what events are happening in your area that are either free of cost very little. Art galleries and museums are almost always free, as are concerts in the park during the summer months.

A lot of towns now have performances of plays and movies showing at greatly reduced prices in the afternoon or midweek. You don’t have to go out on a Saturday night like everyone else, during the week prices are cheaper and places are also a lot quieter.

If you feel as if you are carrying a little extra weight from the holidays, the pair of you can have fun biking on one of the many scenic trails that are on offer to cyclists. Another free sport activity is to take yourselves down to the free tennis courts at your local park.

Hours of fun can even be had in the backyard with one of those cheap badminton sets that you take with you when you go camping.

Although we have shown you how to have some great nights out on the cheap, there are times when the costs will go up unavoidably. The likes of a cab fare or the price of gas or even paying for a sitter all adds up. Why not have some great cheap nights in instead?

Get the kids off to bed or bribe them to stay in another part of the house then do something together without leaving the house. Dim the light and pile the cushions on the floor and listen to some romantic music, or even have a picnic while you are down there.

Grab every opportunity to spend time alone with your partner without the distractions of kids; TV, cell phones etc. Those times are vital in every relationship.
