Babies tend to outgrow their clothes very fast. And parents are then faced with the dilemma of what to save and what not to save. They don’t know how to decide whether they should keep the clothes for later use or whether they should take it down to a consignment store. It can be difficult to make a decision. However, these simple steps can make it easier for you.
The first thing that you should do is get a few bags to stash up the old clothing. It makes it easy for you to just pick up the bags and load it into the car. And then you can take it and drop it anywhere you want.
The next thing you should do is deal with stained clothing. You can use these clothes as rags in your house or you can make a small memory quilt out of these clothes. You can use a quilt making guide to make your memory quilt.
Now you need to decide which clothes you would like to save. For example, if you want to have another baby, then you can save the basic clothes such as jackets, socks, and booties.
If there is any outfit that you want to save because of sentimental value, then the only thing that you need to do is make sure that it is preserved properly. It is always worth saving a christening gown or your baby’s first outfit. So, make sure to save such clothes.
If you are thinking of saving outfits because you think it will save money a few years from now, then avoid it. This is because ultimately storing it will become a hassle.
Consigning old baby clothes is another way to deal with this problem. You can make some cash and use it to buy clothes that fit your baby. You can just keep the cash with you for later use.
If the clothes are unstained or the clothes are not more than 2 years old, you can easily give them over to a consignment store. You can get more money or higher store credit, if there is a brand name attached.
