Our children are precious to us and we should make every effort to nurture them because they are our future. They are the next generation of our world and deserve the very best we have to offer them.

Making time for our kids is important. No matter how busy our lives become we should always plan time to spend with our children. We live in busy world of schedules and day to day distractions but that should not deter us from our main goal.

One way to spend some time with our kids is to get them involved in activities that we like to do. Whether it is the opera or baseball involving them in what we do is a great way to spend time together.

Often our love of NASCAR may not interest our kids and so we need to remember that our interests may not always be their interests. We should remain open about the types of activities we do with our kids.

You can try to see if they like certain things you like by involving them in it and if they show no interest, try the next activity. You will eventually find something that you both enjoy doing together.

The main goal is to try to connect on something you both like, try different things with your kids to see if they like it and if they don’t move on to the next activity. Eventually you will find something that both of you enjoy.

You may not always like what your child likes and that is fine. You do not have to fake interest, but keep things in their proper view, you are spending time together and that is the important thing.

Making an effort means not sitting your child in front of the TV and ignoring them because you are busy. While they are young this is the time to nurture them and foster their growth and development.
