Summer Camp – Coping With Separation Anxiety

It Summer! It’s Camp Time! Many children and young people around the world head off to aSummer Kids Camp and participate in various activities. Picking a camp is no easy task. Should it be religious camp? Should it be a Sport Camp? Should it be a Overnight Summer Camp?

Some camps are education based and may be used as giving school credit to your child. Some of these courses include: mathematics, reading, or technology-based camps.

Maybe a sports camp is more for your child. These can specialize in a sport to upgrade a skill level or just be played for fun. Some time local sports teams or school will suggest a camp.

Finally, there are special interest camps, mostly children, to enjoy the break through their school and do other children. There are adventure camps to prepare, in which the coordinators for playful fun activities children enjoy.

When selecting a kids summer camp be sure to have the child get involved. It is best to have the parent do the basic research and pick four or five then send for the information then let the child decide from their. Help them with their decision making.

So now your child is at camp and often parents feel lonely without their kid. This is normal. Don’t worry chances are your child feels the same way but at camp is very busy and has little time to think about it. You must do the same thing.

Books! Chance are you have a pile sitting on the night stand. Now is the time to whittle that down. Consider this lounging time except working in the garden. when you have time you will find that with a little bit of effort you can fill it up with exciting activities.

Go to the local forest preserve and enjoy a little nature. Nature not your thing then try the mall and do your part to keep the economy going.
