Looking for Teen Summer Camps is not as easy as you might think. You must get your teen involved in the selection of a summer program.

After a few weeks at Summer Camp your teenager will arrive home a bit a bit of dirt behind the ears, but more important are the emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and social changes that a challenging summer program can produce in a child in this age group.

Finding the right summer program for teens is not much different than finding a program for a nine year old. You still want a safe, secure, and appropriate environment. However,when picking a camp for a teen they need new challenges and greater independence. Often teens find a camp that they like and like to return year after year to see old friends. Some teens would prefer to try new experiences each summer.

Remember all teens are not the same and have different needs. life is vary different for a 13 year old vs a 17 year old teen. So, keep in mind the needs, interests, abilities of your teenager.
